Should I stay….or should I go now…?
As the song goes…..If I go there will be trouble….and if I stay it will be double. (We are going to go).
We love this little town of Manteo and had planned to stay for a little while longer, but it appears that we could get an uninvited guest soon.

It’s Sunday (9/1) and it’s an absolutely beautiful day but we’ve been watching the weather reports closely and, unfortunately, as of today, it looks like Hurricane Dorian could reach the coast of North Carolina. We feel very exposed in this Outer Banks location and have decided to cut our visit short and get the heck out of dodge. We’ve spent the morning researching places to go and have decided to head north to Atlantic Yacht Basin marina in Virginia which is just north of the North Carolina-Virginia border, about 15 miles inland on the ICW and 15 miles south of Chesapeake Bay. It will be a long travel day, but it looks like a pretty protected marina, they have space for us, and they have fuel.
Just wanted to give you an update. We will check in again once we get settled in our new location.

Yeah, it looks like a mean one. We are trying to stay out of his path.
Wow! You two are having some adventures. Stay safe and away from Dorian. We are at our canin in Bishop right now… trying to catch fish. So far, not luck. Will keep an eye on your posts. Safe travels,!

Yeah, we are going to continue traveling north until we feel pretty confident that we won’t have to share space with Dorian. We’ll be off again as soon as we can get the bridge to open for us (9:00 we think).

We’re holding good thoughts that Dorian doesn’t reach you!! It was good to see Michael when he came to San Diego. We were disappointed that you were not able to come with him.

We’re in Yorktown, Virginia now trying to stay ahead of Dorian.
