Bugs………

Bugs………

We awoke this morning to rain, fog, and wind- so we’re still here in New Orleans at the Seabrook Marina. Many people who have done this journey before us have said “it’s great to have a plan, but never under any circumstances, have a schedule”.  We absolutely know why they chant that mantra.  We arrived here Thursday (1/17) and had planned to stay just a couple of days but due to weather (mostly wind and seas) we’re still here (1/23). Now hoping to leave on Friday (1/25).  Since we’ve been sequestered to the boat all day I am posting the photos I forgot to post yesterday plus some more. Below are the photos from my camera experiment.

Also we’ve been watching the progress of “tenting” the Natchez Paddle Boat. Apparently they have a bug problem and on a boat that’s 265 feet long, 46 feet on the beam and weighing in a 1384 tons there could be lots of places for those bugs to be hiding. They started putting the tent on yesterday morning about 7:30 am, they were still working on it yesterday evening and when we looked at it again this morning it looked complete. But then, oops, here comes the rain and the wind! By the end of the day it looked like they were pretty much back to where they started yesterday morning. See photos below.
